Edneed LMS: The Complete Account Creation And Activation Process
Buying learning management system software is the very first step towards the digitization of your institute. The LMS is a helping hand for institute owners in managing their everyday tasks as well as providing a seamless learning experience. We have developed our LMS in such a way that minimizes the technical tasks to be done by teachers or students that will eventually maximize productive learning.
We are constantly giving you a better overview of our LMS with the help of product-centric blogs. In our recent blogs, we have elaborated on how you can create assignments, how you can add your faculty etc.
It is important here to note that during the website creation, you will receive an email from Edneed for account activation. Apart from this, you will also get an email for ZOOM account activation. If you don’t activate it instantly, you will get a pop-up msg stating for account activation. While purchasing a private domain or subdomain for your institute, your account will also be created with the details you already filled in.
Teachers’ Account Activation
Now that the admin has created his account and website for the institute, the next step is to create a classroom and then invite their faculty. We have already created a detailed blog on How To Add Faculty of Your Institution to Edneed LMS and How To Create The Classrooms In Edneed LMS.
Suppose Sakshi is an institute admin who invited a faculty of her institute named Anjali to the Edneed learning management system. Now, Anjali will receive two different emails. The first one will consist of information like the institute to which she is invited to, the class and the subject she is supposed to teach. As you can see in the image below:
As soon as Anjali clicks on the “Continue” button, she will be redirected to the setup password page. She can enter the password of her choice, and she will be able to access the teacher’s dashboard by logging in with the credentials i.e. email through which she was invited and the password she chose.
Apart from the invitation mail, Anjali will also receive an email for her Zoom account activation. As you can see in the image below:
After clicking on the “Activate Your Zoom Account” button, she will land on the account creation page of Zoom. Once she fills in the details and clicks on the “Continue” button, her account will be created and she can easily take the online classes.
You must be wondering what will happen if someone forgets to create an account on ZOOM and tries to schedule an online class? Here’s an answer to that. The teacher will get to see a popup window as in the image below
However, if by any chance, the teacher forgets to check the Zoom account activation mail for a long period of time, and tries to activate the account later. It will show as an expired link. In such cases, the teacher will need to click on the “resend the link” button. Then the teacher will receive a fresh email to activate their Zoom account.
Account authentication for Google Meet
Admin, as well as teachers, receive an email from Edneed to activate their account of Zoom for conducting online classes. But if Anjali wants to conduct the classes over Google Meet, she can do that from her dashboard itself. All she needs to do is click on the “Online Class” button from the dashboard, and a new window will open. From there she can schedule an online class and then click on the “Google Meet” button on the popup window. There, it will ask her to authenticate her account, as the image shows:
When she clicks on the “Authenticate Now!” button it will redirect her to Google’s login page. She can choose her account to log in and then by clicking on continue it will redirect her again to Edneed’s online class scheduling window.
Now, she is all set to take the online classes. All she has to do is just fill in the details of the class.
We hope that we’ve cleared all your doubts regarding the account creation and activation process. Once any teacher or student joins Edneed either through invitation their profile will also get created. They can use that account to explore the learning community as well.
We always look for something which is easy and handy to use. Learning Management Systems are made to manage the everyday works of an institute as well as to conduct online classes and online tests etc. There are a number of LMSs available in the market which are not so user-friendly. But, Edneed is developed in such a way that reduces the technical tasks for teachers and students as well. These reduced tasks will lead to effective learning.
