Edneed Learning Management System: Unveiling New Features- Public Profile, Private Domain, and Online Test
Unveiling New Features
Edneed is stepping up another milestone by launching the Online Test feature for its learning management system. Earlier the Edneed Learning Management System had various important features like scheduling the classes, assigning classes to the teachers, students’ attendance tracking, and assigning substitute teachers for any subject, etc.
Now, as part of a new journey, Edneed unveils 3 new Updates. These updates were needed for institutes, the learning community, and also for the complete evaluation of the student’s progress throughout the year. It will be much helpful in the near future.
The 3 updates are
1: Public Profile
Global learning is a phenomenon that everyone in this digital era should follow. We provided the Edneed Learning Community for free to all learners and educators to come and share the very most valuable treasure they have, “knowledge”. Previously, it was functional as a platform where everyone was allowed to ask questions and get answers.
Evolution is the law of nature, so Edneed evolved too. We are happy to announce that we have added the Public Profile feature to our Learning Community Platform. With this update, users now not only can put questions or give answers but also can check the profile of the person who all are available there. Users are now able to follow the people on the platform and help in making the global learning community stronger than before.
2: Private Domain
Institutes can now purchase their own private domain for the website. Even after owning a private domain, they still will get the Edneed website management system. That is how the institute admin will be able to manage their institute’s website easily anytime.
Apart from the private domain, we will be providing institutes with a digital marketing package that will help in boosting their institute’s website. In this package, Edneed will provide them with the support of Google Analytics, WhatsApp Support, and SEO, etc.
3: Online Test
For any institute, classes, and tests are the main elements. In recent years, the whole educational process has shifted to digital mode. Institutes have opted for online classes at first, then they held tests online as well. Online Tests were beneficial and necessary in evaluating the student’s progress throughout the academic year. But, there were also some setbacks in conducting online tests without proper tools and preparations. Because even if the teachers wanted to conduct small quizzes etc they had to follow the same pattern. There was also certainty about using unfair means by students during the tests. Understanding such situations, Edneed has developed the online test feature with relevant solutions.
Type of Questions
Teachers can conduct online tests for their students. With diverse options to choose from, the online test would be able to help teachers in evaluating students in the right way.
1: Single select
In this option, teachers will be able to ‘add a question title, an image or video of the question, provide an answer, and put on marks for the question’.
In this type of test, teachers can give a minimum of 2 and a maximum of 4 options to choose from where only one option is correct. Since the marks for each question are pre-defined, the students will be able to get the result immediately after the test ends.
2: Multi-Select
The process of uploading questions is the same as the previous one.
However, the minimum number of answer options will be 4 and can go up to 10. And students can choose multiple options related to the answer. The result of this type of test will be published instantly too.
3: True/False
The question uploading process is the same in this type of test as well. However, the students will get to choose one of the given two options for the question.
Since the right answer to the questions is already provided by the teacher, students will get the result right after the test ends.
4: Subjective type test
This type of test will consist of questions with descriptive answers. This will help in evaluating the student’s understanding of that subject.
If the test is set as subjective, results will only be published after evaluation by the teacher.
Feature for Teachers in Online Test
Teachers will now be able to set up an examination for the students of their class. Teachers can schedule the tests anytime as per their convenience and notify all the students in just a click. They can also set up the difficulty level for the test. These restrictions will help in fairly evaluating the candidate.
Student’s Perspective on Online Test
As soon as the teacher hits the notify button after creating the test, students will get notified of the schedule of the test. Edneed will create an internal environment for the student to attempt the live examination. The test will be conducted in full-screen mode.
When the student enters test mode, a countdown timer will start the exam time, as defined by the teacher. If students face any kind of interruption or any other issue students would be able to ask for grace time if the teacher had allowed it while setting up the test. When students ask for grace time, the teacher will be notified. However, it would totally depend on the teacher to allow the students the grace time.
Conclusion
Edneed has launched some new features that will be beneficial in many ways. On the Edneed community, users can now view the profile of other users. This feature will help users to connect with other users on the platform. With Private Domains, institutes can now have their personal domain names and mark their digital presence aggressively in their area. Apart from these two, now the ‘Online Test’ feature is available for teachers. They will be able to conduct online tests for their institute on Edneed’s learning management system. Edneed will unveil more features for its LMS in the near future.
